Next Wave Creators | Te Ngaru Auaha is a hands-on wānanga designed to spark curiosity in technology, creativity, digital storytelling and future tech pathways.
Through the partnership between KIWA Digital and Innov8HQ, this exclusive opportunity brings world-class digital storytelling capability into a local learning environment designed especially for rangatahi.
KIWA Digital’s tools and expertise have supported global platforms including Netflix, Amazon and Disney. Now, that experience is being shared to help young Kiwi creators imagine what is possible for their own future. Across two days, participants will explore their tuakiri | identity, strengths, ideas and creativity while learning how technology can be used to tell stories, solve problems and create meaningful projects. This is about moving from tech users to tech creators.
Whānau are invited too.
Parents and caregivers will be invited to take part in a dedicated session to better understand future tech pathways and how to support tamariki into opportunities in technology, storytelling, gaming, design, content creation and digital media.
Rangatahi will walk away with:
- Confidence using digital tools
- A stronger interest in future tech careers
- A digital storytelling project or concept
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- A better understanding of their strengths, ideas and manaLimited spaces available.
Expressions of Interest are now open for young people and whānau keen to be part of the next wave of Kiwi digital creators. A parent or caregiver consent form will also need to be completed before rangatahi attend the workshops.
